After slowing in the fourth quarter of this year, economic growth will pick back up again in 2015.
The fourth-quarter pause — with growth slipping to only about a 2% annualized pace, after averaging nearly twice that rate in the second and third quarters — is no cause for concern. It is not uncommon for several strong quarters to be followed by a weaker one, with growth then bouncing back as the economy catches its breath.
