Greater Cincinnati’s economy will grow at a 2.4 percent clip this year, Heath said at the event at the Kingsgate Marriott Conference Center at the University of Cincinnati. That would barely pass her expectation of 2.3 percent growth for the U.S. economy.

A few sectors have fueled that strength. Manufacturing has grown here faster than the rest of the country and makes up a big chunk of the economy, Heath said. And four of the 10 largest local employers are in health care, which has grown thanks to the aging population.
